Membership Application

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Unless otherwise provided for in the ACEC OKLHOMA By-Laws, membership is limited to professional service firms which provide independent consulting engineering and/or land surveying services.

Eligibility for membership shall require that a proprietor, partner, or corporate officer of the firm or, in the case of a branch office of an American Council of Engineering Companies member firm, the person in responsible charge of a branch office engineering and/or land surveying activities in the state of Oklahoma, meet the following qualifications:

A. Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer and/or Land Surveyor to practice in the state of Oklahoma.

B. Engagement in the professional practice of consulting engineering and/or land surveying offering services to more than one client.

C. Practice from a regularly staffed office located within the state of Oklahoma.

Member firms must practice under an organizational arrangement that does not involve a conflict of interest or that does not subordinate independent professional judgment to other consideration.

(This is a general statement of membership requirements. More detailed explanation of membership requirements are included in the By-Laws of ACEC OKLAHOMA and ACEC.)

NOTICE:

Contributions or gifts to ACEC OKLAHOMA and/or ACEC are not deductible as charitable contributions, BUT may be deductible to members for federal income tax purposes as ordinary & necessary business expenses.

For the first year of your firm's membership, ACEC OKLAHOMA and ACEC will discount your first year dues by TWO-THIRDS (66%)!!!!!

Additionally, in your firm's second year of membership, we will discount your dues by an additional ONE-THIRD (33%)!!!!!

That's effectively a free year of membership over a three year period.

I have read the qualifications for membership and believe our firm meets the requirements set forth in the ACEC OKLAHOMA By-Laws. A $50.00 application fee, which will be applied to the first year's dues, is enclosed. If the application is approved, the firm will comply with the By-Laws of the Council.

DUES INFORMATION

ACEC OKLAHOMA and American Council of Engineering Companies(ACEC) annual dues are based on an index number which is determined by the total number of personnel employed by the firm. For Fiscal Year 2010-11, ACEC OKLAHOMA dues are $ 426.37 per index number and ACEC dues are $316.97 per index number.

To determine your annual dues, find the "Number of Employees" in your firm on the list below. The number to the immediate right of the number of employees is your "Index Number". Then, take the index number and multiply by the ACEC OKLAHOMA and ACEC dues shown above. For firms joining after the start of the fiscal year, dues are prorated on a quarterly basis.

Example

Total number of employees of firm = 12
Index number for 12 person firm = 4.1
ACECOK/ACEC Base Dues = $743.34 per index number
12 person firm total Annual Dues: $743.34 x 4.1 = $3,059.41
WITH THE FIRST YEAR TWO-THIRDS DISCOUNT, ANNUAL DUES WOULD BE

$ 1,019.80

a savings of $ 2,039.61!!!!!
